Assemble BLOG - Announcing the Acquisition of Assemble Systems

Jul 9, 2018

Blog

The word is out: Assemble Systems is now part of the Autodesk family, following Autodesk’s acquisition of our company. We are very excited to join Autodesk and have the opportunity to tighten the integration of data from models, to estimates, to schedules, and to the jobsite.

What we have achieved so far

Assemble’s daily users number in the thousands with hundreds of construction companies embracing it to become more competitive and efficient.  Our focus on taking the data from 3D models like Revit and AutoCAD and combining with coding schemes, LOD’s, schedule dates, and other construction data has proven that BIM can provide tremendous benefits to our customers and partners.

How important our customers and partners have been!

Our customers have always driven us to solve the most difficult challenges for them, and we are proud of how we have responded with revolutionary products.  Great examples include connecting products such as Sage Timberline and Oracle Primavera P6.  These innovative connections allow data to flow back and forth and provide the construction project team with precise answers to daily challenges.

What is our shared vision?

As part of Autodesk, we now have the ability to deepen our integrations with many Autodesk solutions.  Of particular interest is the ability to leverage the cloud for publishing and then to share the data with the emerging suite of solutions that BIM 360 provides.  This ability to have many authoring sources, many partners, and many tightly integrated project solutions all in the cloud may well revolutionize how construction projects are done.

For now, nothing changes

Here is what is important for you, our valued customers and community, to know:

  • My team and I are dedicated to making sure that the same great customer service you have come to expect from Assemble Systems will remain
  • Autodesk will honor our existing partnerships
  • We are going to integrate Assemble Systems software tightly with Autodesk BIM 360 construction management platform. This will take some time; we will keep you updated.

I understand that this is a significant development and that you may have questions.  I believe that this acquisition will be extremely positive for our customers and for the industry. Finally, on behalf of the entire Assemble team, I want to thank our customers, supporters and industry friends for helping us make this journey a successful one.  Please let us know what questions and concerns you have. You can contact me directly or reach us at assemble.sales@autodesk.com. As always, we would love to hear from you.
